Sportcraft Minute To Win It Ultimate Party Bucket Review

I bought this game for my 12 year old son who really enjoys the show. We have 4 kids in the family ranging in ages from 5 to 15. We split up into 2 teams of three and the whole family ended up having a great time laughing and bonding together. There were some challenges that we had to change up a bit to be able to do it in the smaller space we have but they still worked. We had to go through the booklet to find age appropriate challenges for the younger kids (5 & 7) but were able to do so to allow them to be a part of the game as well. I highly recommend this game for anyone looking to create some fun memories with the family!

Acuity Review

This is a good game in the genre of pattern/shape/color recognition games such as Set. It is easy to teach and doesn't take long to play. It is also suitable for solitaire play or for playing without worrying about score. It would also be easy amenable to house rules, or handicaps for younger players. For example, you might allow a younger player 5 seconds to look at a tile to match before the adults get a try.

My son is older, but I imagine that kids of 8 and up could learn to play. It is definitely good brain exercise. One good feature in this regard is the rules allow you to turn one tile on the board to get a match the time to be matched. This forces you to visualize changes in the pattern of the board.

The components are basically a set of solid cardboard tiles, with all possible patterns of the 4 shapes in the set. The tiles are solid--about 1/8" thick--so they should stand up pretty well to lots of play.

One other nice feature. I am color-blind, so I often have trouble with games in which color may be the only identifying characteristic of a game component. In Acuity, you can identify the images by either shape or color; for example, the circles are always blue.

At first glance, this zombie just looks like a creature that gets smaller everytime it gets hit, which is useful in itself. However, reading it's ability carefully, it is very easy to make this zombie indestructible.

Since damage is taken by this zombie by removing a damage counter, it would essentially die when the last +1/+1 counter is removed...however.

By pairing it with a creature that pumps zombies up (aka Death Baron and several other creatures) by +1/+1, that is a permenant stat boost that cannot be "removed" by damage, hence, creating an idestructible zombie.

A 1/1 indestructible chump blocker is great, but paired with a death baron, it also gains death touch. A 1/1 indestructible death touching zombie is CRAZY!!!
