With 165 new cards (with three copies each of its player cards), Khazad-dum provides players two new Dwarf heroes, and new allies, attachments, and events.

Furthermore, Khazad-dum is the first step in the games ongoing narrative, expanding the game and its world with nine new encounter sets. These mix to build the encounter decks for three new thrilling scenarios in Khazad-dum, and also lay the groundwork for the scenarios from the upcoming Dwarrowdelf cycle of Adventure Packs.

Well worth the money. If you have the core set and want to add more flavor to your game, I recommend this expansion.

Pros:
Wonderful expansion.
Cards are beautiful.
There are some larger enemies up to 27 damage points aka The Nameless Fear.
Quests are tastefully done and interesting.

Cons:
Lack of sphere cards in this expansion. If you only own the core set prior to purchasing, your options are limited.
Retail box is very small. You need to squeeze the cards back into the retail box if you put deck protectors on them.
I was expecting 50/50 - encounter and sphere cards. It is more like 75% encounter cards and 25% sphere cards in this expansion.
