Each lot contains an amazing assortment of 250 Pokemon cards that includes 235 commons/uncommons, 10 rares, and 5 foil cards. Almost all of the cards are in near mint to mint condition and there is a great variety of different sets. There is some duplication, but it will be minimal for a lot of this size.

I ordered the 250 Pokemon cards from Magic Universe specifically because they claim their lots have minimal duplicates. I wasn't going to order such a lot at all because of the poor reviews. However, I decided to take the risk because Magic Universe SPECIFICALLY STATES that the number of duplicates is minimal. "Minimal", by my understanding, would not be nearly half the lot! I contacted Magic Universe about the lot of cards I received, and no one replied after about 4 days. (I tried to give them a fair chance before writing my review.)

I quite literally went through the cards and made two stacks of identical cards, with only a few left over. I don't just mean lots of Vulpix cards at different levels, but at the same level, exact same cards. Some cards had 4+ EXACT duplication, PLUS non-exact repeats of the same Pokemon. For example: 4 Vulpix lv.12 cards, 2 Vulpix, and 2 Vulpix (same attacks, but from a different year). There were a few different Pokemon which had these types of repeats, as well as some trainer cards. For practically all the Pokemon, you had two of each. Of course, they were careful not to give you duplicates of the rare or foil cards.

The cards arrived wrapped in folded over computer paper, not even a plastic bag, but okay. The condition of most of the cards was pretty good. Most were almost like new while only a couple cards appeared very used. The lot I received did have the 4 foil cards and 10 rare cards as described. There weren't a lot of energy cards, which was fine, though I would rather have more energy cards than so many duplicates. In our lot there were 3 Japanese cards (Pocket Monsters), and 3 other Foreign language cards. My son had no interest in those, but I know they're popular with some other kids.

One of the neighbor boys is a very happy camper. He wanted to get back into Pokemon, but didn't have many cards. So I gave him about 100 of our 250, because we didn't need .... that many duplicates! If you have two kids who like Pokemon, you might benefit from ordering this lot. My son, on the other hand, was disappointed to have so many duplicates walk out the door.

Minus all the repeats, my 9 year old was happy with the cards he was able to use. They're all no/low level cards, but he was glad just to complete a few evolutions. I, on the other hand, am very disappointed that I was taken in by the false advertising. Really, they give you enough duplicates to sell your own 100 card lots on Amazon!

If you have two younger kids who both love Pokemon, however, this might be the lot for you. The reviews for this might be a lot better if the seller cared to be more honest with the description.
