Magic: the Gathering - Keening Stone - Rise of the Eldrazi Review
This is an amazing combo with, well I'll wait for that. So I'm just going to review it for it's wonderful features in helping a guy win a game.1) It keeps coming,
It's not an instant, so it can be used every turn if you have the mana.
2) It cost less than infinity to play,
For it's effects it should have an additional cost, but because it doesn't, that's why I love this card.
3) It isn't horribly expensive,
Under $5 is not bad at all, heck $10 is a good price.
4) It works well with the new card from the 2014 core set of rare rarity (that is a sorcery): traumatize.
I mean it takes literally two cards to mill the entire deck. To me, this card is unstoppable. Except for maybe naturalize, *cough-cough* (cancel works well against that).
Now if you don't know what traumatize does, or for some reason keening stone either (look at the picture), I'll explain.
Traumatize discards the top half of the opponents library into the graveyard. And keening stone finishes the job by taking that many cards in the graveyard again.
(ability on keening stone: 4T, Target player puts the top X cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard, where X is the number of cards in that player's graveyard)
So children what's 1/2 the deck x2? It's the entire deck, that's what it is.
So that's an excellent (and satisfying) way for you to win a game of magic. the gathering. yes.
