Tetris Link Review

I found Tetris Link to be a fun, simple, easy to learn gateway game. The rules are pretty straight forward, after 5 minutes with them anyone can be ready to play their first game. At first, I thought it was fairly light game for kids, but after a few plays I came to realize that it also some strategic depth that is not apparent upon first glance. A lot of the game comes down to positioning, what orientation of each piece gives me the most options in later turns? How do I place my pieces so they are not easily capped? How do can I create situations that make it easy for me to cap others? These are the strategy questions you have to answer when playing the game. I would highly recommend this game to kids or adults just starting out playing games.

The only thing I ended up missing was the music from the original game.

Have you ever wanted to knock your opponent's library off the table? Guess what? Jace, Memory Adept can do that, without incurring all those pesky rules infractions! Even better, any time you use Jace's +0 ability, your OPPONENT has to knock off the top ten cards himself. It's the rules, so if your opponent gets upset just point to Jace and say "Nuh-uh, JACE is making you do that, don't blame me." Great guy, that Jace.

Even better, when your opponent gets upset, he's probably going to release the hounds to chew on Jace's face instead of yours, giving time to mount a counterattack. However, if you want to win, it's best to keep him alive, as knocking off HALF your opponent's library does you no good if Jace isn't around to knock out the other half. Also, Jace doesn't like getting his face chewed off, since it wrecks all the effort he spends on his hair.

So. Play Jace, and also play ways to protect his hairdo such as lingering souls. You guys will be best buds and your opponent will be stuck playing sixty-card pickup.

Hasbro Fun on the Run Trouble Game Review

this is one of my top 3 travel games. excellent size and design. the only flaw I found was the little pegs and holes could have been a little tapered to fit more snuggly in the holes. If you jar the game the pegs can jump out. Other than that it is a great size. the pegs are easy to grab, the push popp dice works really well. very cool little game.

I love these cards. However, there is one thing about one of the decks that messes with what I bought them for.

I wanted 3 near identical decks with different backs (for games like River-Pool Rummy and other games that combine decks). The Gold and Red decks work fairly well, only slightly different. However the Blue Dragon deck has blue hearts and diamonds, rather than red like the other decks.
