This is a good set of cards if you are giving a 7-10 year old Pokemon loving child a present. My son is currently obsessed with his Pokemon cards. I ordered this for him and he was thrilled with the majority of the cards that were inside--it has some really "good and powerful" cards. I dread playing this game with him because I really don't understand it, but he really enjoys it. I have found that it does get him reading and doing math since all the cards have little descriptions and/or instructions on them and points to be added or subtracted, depending on the card. I paid slightly less on Amazon then I would have paid at the local Target.
